Amanda Hamm’s explanation

September 27, 2019

Amanda Hamm agreed to talk to police a total of seven times — all without the benefit of an attorney present — about the drowning deaths of her three children in Clinton Lake.

In the sixth interview that occurred more than two weeks after the incident, Hamm tried to explain how she, along with her boyfriend, escaped the vehicle but was unable to save her children.

Here’s the audio and transcript from the interrogation as recorded by police. We’ve redacted names of a few people who were not directly connected to the criminal case.
