Radio report on Hendricks’s sentencing

May 11, 2018

If you haven’t read Reasonable Doubt — but especially if you have — I think you’ll find this 22-minute piece of audio interesting.  It’s a special report Bloomington, Ill., radio station WJBC did in January of 1985 after the sentencing of David Hendricks for the murders of his wife and children.  I had covered the entire trial and, of course, was there for the sentencing.  My on-air description was the basis for Chapter 22 in the book.  The anchor for WJBC’s special report was Mike Stanton. The first clip is ~12 minutes long. The report continues in the second clip.
