Following his being sentenced to life in prison for the deaths of Amanda Hamm’s three children, Maurice LaGrone asked a state appellate court to overturn his conviction on murder charges.
His attorneys raised several legal issues, chief among them that the judge in the case should have given jurors the option of finding LaGrone guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the drowning deaths.
